Its Raining Outside
Finally a blog after a long time. I have a big problem with writing blogs. Whenever i wish to write, it turns out to be so long that ultimately i don't even start it. Last it happened when i wanted to write about the fantastic camping trip we went to with some TI guys. But gaganm covered it in his blog, and what i wanted to write would have run in pages. Finally i ended up writing nothing.

Past few days have been usual. Masti mixed with monotony of daily life. One one hand, a lot of juniors are/were in our house due to which it has become really fun to be at home. On the other hand, job continues to be boring. Its now my tenth month in job, and i have not written even a single line of code. I already feel i have forgotten programming. Good part is the we are officially in coding phase from next week.

Nowadays, we are in filmoholic mood, thanks to Puneet Sethi. We are going out for like three or four movies a week. And Sethi makes it a point not to miss any junk movie. Yesterday we saw Charlie's Angels. Needless to say, it was junk. Thankfully, i was spared of Mein Prem Ki Deewani Hoon experience before that. I liked parts of Saaya. Story was junk, and movie's progress was too slow. But still, it was watchable which cannot be said about other movies bollywood is churning out. And Delhi looked beautiful in it. Also, it again reminded me how much i miss winters. Four years in Guwahati, and now Bangalore. It has been a long time i have enjoyed real winters cuddled up in razai and eating pakoras. In fact, i haven't stayed much with my parents for a long time. Its so cool to be with your parents and everyone involved in your khatirdari when you meet them after a long time.

Some new consultants have joined our center. Jealous of them as they get to work in Linux, and i am left to work on this sucky windows. I find Outlook the worst piece of shit out of Microsoft stable (inspite of its few useful features). Thankfully, after configuring gnus, atleast i have a sane news/mail client. Tried hard to convince my manager to also allow linux/solaris for development but couldn't convince him. Hopefully some day later.

Well, off now to watch Matrix Reloaded.
