Boom
Interesting weekend.

Friday we decide to watch Boom. What a waste. One of the most horrible movies I have ever seen. While waiting in the queue for the ticket, Sethi met one of his friends who described the movie as - don't try to connect what happened before t - alpha; and t + beta; then the movie might seem ok to you. And I desperately wanted to see Pirates of the Caribbean.



Saturday we went to watch Lucky Ali Concert in Palace Grounds. Show was supposed to start at 6:00 and continue till 9:00. 6:15 we reach there and enter the main are at 6:45. 7:15 the stage comes alive and they start with some dance numbers performed by various groups, but no sign of Lucky Ali. After waiting for about half an hour, we decided, that we would wait till 8:00 and if he doesn't appear by then, we would leave. Just when we were about to leave, Lucky Ali arrived on stage. As we had already paid the money, we decided to stay. But standing at the very back (we had bought the lowest price tickets), we could hardly see the stage and sound was pretty poor. He continued till 8:30, and we were surprised when they took a break after just half an hour. Then started the long silsila of calling sponsors, presenting them with some memento, and more dance presentations. By 9:00 we were sick of it, and everyone of us wanted to leave. We decided that we would wait for half an hour more and then leave. Finally, at 9:30, when we were at the exit, he appeared again. But everyone was too pissed off and we decided to leave. At 10:15, I received a call from one of my friends who was still at the show, that show is over and they were leaving. Just 1 hour 15 minutes of live performance by Lucky Ali in a show starting from 6:00 and continuing till 10:15. What a waste. It should have been called "Lucky Ali - Dhoondte Reh Jaoge".

Sunday, other members of the gang were in mood of Pub Hopping. Kunal messaged me saying they are starting with Purple Haze. I thought, thats their favourite destination, so why there. Anyway, when I reached there, I found that there plan was to stay at PH only. Kunal explained, "Pub hopping is PH and PH is Purple Haze". So clever. But I agree that was the cleverer idea. He was playing good numbers, and it had been a long time since we had visited PH. But at 9:00 pm, they decided that they will leave PH and go for pub hopping. First we went to ZeroG in the opposite building. I hated it the moment we entered - with that dhichik dhichik sound of any disco number being played. Anyway, no one wanted to stay there for long, and we decided our next destination - 180 Proof. We had visited that place on Saturday, but didn't enter as there was entrance charge. Had thought would try it out on Sunday. But our luck, it was closed until further notice :(. Hmm, we were getting the hint that things are not going to work out that day, still we decided we try at least on more destination - Spinn. We reach there and find out only couples were allowed. Hmm, a bad day chosen for pub hopping. Best decision was to have dinner and go home.

Saw Pirates of the Caribbean yesterday. Nice movie, and the humor added at places adds to its charm. Though I was expecting more from it.
